The Whitefield Academy Library is a pleasant and active place in which to read and study. It is open daily before and after school for those who wish to use it for reading or research. Each elementary class is scheduled to come to the library for story time, hands-on instruction, to work on special projects and to check out books. Secondary classes use the library and its resources for research projects, class assignments, computer research and reading enjoyment.
Accelerated Reader
The library at Whitefield Academy supports the Accelerated Reading Program. This program helps students improve reading and comprehension ability by encouraging them to continually practice reading skills. In this program, students select a book to read and then are tested over the book on the computer. Students earn points for passing a test and the points are then utilized and recognized in various ways in a rich milieu of learning.

Whitefield Academy's Spring Book Fair
Great job with our second Scholastic book fair this year! We had a total sales of $5000.00 allowing the library to get around $3500 in free books. Wow Whitefield; thank you so much for all the participation from my volunteers, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and students.
Boxtops and Campbell's Soup Labels
Please remember to collect/clip Boxtops and Campbell's soup labels for our school. WA can receive cash and products that will benefit the library, teachers, and students. The school has already received tv's, dvd players, cd players, tape recorders, software, art supplies, literature, playground equipment...to name a few. The deadline to turn in Boxtops and Campbell's labels for the end-of-the-year pizza parties for K-2, 3-5, 6-8 will be May 1st, but one can submit anytime throughout the school year.
