We partner with families to build strong academic foundations while nurturing a growing love for God’s Word.
The elementary years carry lasting significance. Each experience builds who your child is becoming, brick by brick. You’re thinking about the kind of foundation being laid beneath your child’s feet. Will they be safe? Will they be loved? Will they be encouraged to discover the gifts God has placed within them? You want their learning to be engaging, friendships to be meaningful, and faith to be strong.
At Whitefield Academy, our Elementary School is where that foundation is cemented. Within our community, your child will be surrounded by:
- Loving teachers who truly know and care for each student
- Optimal class sizes that allow for meaningful relationships and individualized attention
- Strong instruction in core academic subjects that builds confidence and essential skills
- Daily opportunities to grow a love for the Bible and hide God’s Word in their heart
- A supportive environment for building friendships that encourage connection and belonging

Educational Philosophy
At Whitefield, our educational philosophy is built around helping students grow through experience — academically, emotionally, and spiritually — all within a supportive environment.
Curious Minds
Through Hands-On Learning
Learning in the elementary years should invite wonder and excitement. Through hands-on, engaging instruction, students are encouraged to explore ideas, ask questions, and actively take part in the learning process. This approach builds understanding through experience and nurtures a lasting love of learning.
Confident Learners
Through Challenge and Support
Growth often comes through trial and error. At Whitefield Academy, students are supported as they face challenges, make mistakes, and try again. In an age-appropriate way, children learn to persevere and discover they can do hard things, all within a community that prioritizes emotional safety and trust.
Character Formed
Through Daily Experiences
Character development is woven into everyday learning as students are taught to work unto the Lord and approach their studies as a way to honor God. Beyond the classroom, elementary students practice kindness and service through projects that support organizations both locally and internationally. Teachers also celebrate character in meaningful ways, with weekly awards recognizing students who model love for God and neighbor. Through these experiences, children gain the spiritual maturity they need to thrive in middle school and beyond.
Learning Environment
At Whitefield, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, known, and loved — and that kind of community grows out of our commitment to serve families through a Christ-centered, biblically based education that nurtures both academic excellence and spiritual maturity.
Faith Practiced Consistently.
Weekly participation in Chapel, live worship, Scripture memorization, and Christ-centered activities create daily ways for students to engage with God’s Word.
Intentional Physical Safety.
On-site security, regular drills, and thoughtfully designed classrooms create a safe, welcoming place for children to learn.
Emotional Safety Through Care.
Nurturing teachers, clear expectations, guidance, and a zero-tolerance approach to bullying help students feel supported and encouraged.
Character and Social Growth.
Biblical character lessons and social-emotional development are integrated into daily life, helping students grow in wisdom and maturity.
Families as Partners.
Parents are welcomed into the life of the school through classroom involvement, events, chapel, athletics, and the Parent-Teacher Fellowship.
Service That Extends Beyond Campus.
Annual missions initiatives give students opportunities to live out their faith through generosity and service.
A Day Designed Purposefully
Elementary students attend school from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with before- and after-school care available to support working families. Each day is thoughtfully structured to balance academic focus, faith formation, and time to recharge.
Students move through core subjects such as Bible, reading, spelling, language, math, science, and social studies, along with lunch, recess, and special area classes that enrich their learning experience.

Lindsay Whitfill
3rd Grade
“I teach third grade, and it is the best! I have taught preschool to fifth grade, and third grade definitely has my heart! The students are at a point where they can be more independent, but you can also still have so much fun with them. I think third grade is one of the biggest transition years at our school, and I love being a part in helping our students learn to be more self-sufficient and take on more responsibility. The growth I see in students in academics, maturity, and spirituality from the beginning of the year to the end is amazing!
I think the most important thing for elementary students to master before middle school is their study habits. Many students think if they don’t have written homework then they don’t have to do anything, and then they get behind on studying for tests. In middle school, that will really catch up to them. My own kids learned that the hard way! In third grade we teach students how to look through the textbooks to find answers and how to really study material in hopes that this will stay with them in the future. A little practice and preparation each night is so much better than procrastinating!”
